A new electric van line-up has been unveiled under Stellantis’ new Pro One banner as part of the company's attempt to make a big impact on the commercial vehicle market in the UK.
The electric commercial vehicles that are undergoing changes under the new initiative include those from Citroën, Fiat, Peugeot and Vauxhall. These progresses include technological updates and increases to range.
An example of these improvements to the manufacturer’s vans is the small electric van (sold as the Citroën e-Berlingo, Fiat E-Doblo, Vauxhall Combo Electric and the Peugeot e-Partner) harbouring an electric range of 205 miles, a 30 mile increase on their previous models.
The larger vans, which include the Citroën e-Relay, Fiat E-Ducato, Vauxhall Movano Electric and the Peugeot e-Boxer, have been given a larger battery which can now deliver up to 261 miles of range on a single charge.
Stellantis have also stated that fast charging the battery on the large vans at 150kW will take less than an hour to get from 0% to 80%, which is revolutionary for fleets. They have also said that there will be no compromise on performance or carrying capabilities.
As well as these advances in the electric vehicle sector, Stellantis has also provided a new generation of combustion engine vans to cement themselves as top players in the commercial vehicle world.
